Pu Erh Tea is a rich, smooth, full-bodied fermented tea from Yunnan, loved in China for its comforting flavour.
 
Cooked Pu Erh is made by fermenting fresh leaves with local spring water for around 40 days, then drying and ageing the tea for years.
 
In Chinese medicine, Pu Erh is traditionally drunk after rich meals to aid digestion and to clear Stomach Heat.

Selected aged Pu Erh tea
 
How to make: Place the tea bag in a cup, add 100-200ml of boiling water and dip the bag up and down a few times. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
 
Pu Erh contains caffeine.
