Tian Ma Gou Teng Wan is a classical Chinese formula traditionally used to calm the Liver and subdue rising Yang.
It combines Shi Jue Ming (Haliotis) and Tian Ma (Gastrodia) to settle rising Yang, with Du Zhong (Eucommia) and Chuan Niu Xi (Cyathula) to support the Kidneys and root the Yang.
Traditional actions in Chinese medicine:
- Calms the Liver and subdues rising Yang
- Supports Kidney Qi
- Calms the mind
Traditionally used for:
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Restless or disturbed sleep
- Irritability and a flushed face
